Bianca (12) is a girl who comes with a user’s manual, so thinks her mother, whose attention is mainly focused on Bianca’s little brother Alan (9) and his heart condition. Bianca is unmanageable, so thinks her father, who left his family for a younger woman and prefers to no longer have his daughter visit every weekend. Bianca is remarkable, so says Billie King, Bianca’s favourite actress who shows up out of the blue on a hot summer’s day, sitting in her living room. In their struggle for Billie’s attention, Bianca and her mother find a way back to each other.

Some kids get very angry. So angry that they can no longer be home or in school. Parents and teachers call them bad. But are they? We meet some of these kids in the children's hospital at the psychiatry ward. Animated images accompany their voices as we discover why they are here, why they are angry, and how it makes them feel.

Nora is too well dressed for a prison visit. While she waits for Sam, who is locked up, she speaks to the empty chair in front of her. She has something important to say. But when Sam finally enters, Nora doesn’t manage. Paralysed by fear, she seems to be the one in prison, and Sam the only one who can free her.

Twelve-year-old Binti was born in the Congo but has lived with her father Jovial in Belgium since she was a baby. Despite not having any legal documents, Binti wants to live a normal life and dreams of becoming a famous vlogger. Elias (11) runs his 'save-the-okapi-club' without the help of his father, who's moved to Brazil following his divorce with Elias's mother. The police raid Binti and Jovial's home, sending the two on the run and Binti into the path of Elias. When their parents meet shortly after, Binti quickly sees the perfect solution to all her problems: if she can match her dad with Elias' mom, they can get married and stay in Belgium.​
